In the Shot Put, Discus and Javelin the first throw of each competitor will be measured. After that point a minimum distance line determined by the 10th best throw in each flight which will be marked and only throws beyond this line will be measured. In the Long and Triple Jump the first jump of each competitor will be measured. Then a minimum distance line will be determined by the 10th best jump in each flight which will be marked and only jumps beyond this line will be measured. High Jump and Pole Vault will use the 5 - Alive Method.
